Species Information

White-handed Gibbon

We have four males of this Species, all born in the Park,the mother was donated from a private owner in Austria and the father was rescued in Mallorca.Gibbons have a longevity of 25 years.

 

Dril

Balombe is our male Dril,it is a species in extinction and very protected.He came to the park to live with two females that we had at that time.Unfortunately both females died after.We are looking for a better place for him, he is very aggressive. 

 

Black-tufted marmoset

The black-tufted marmoset (Callithrix penicillata), also known as Mico-estrela in Portuguese, is a species of New World monkey that lives primarily in the Neo-tropical gallery forests of the Brazilian Central Plateau.

Common marmoset

The common marmoset (Callithrix jacchus) is a New World monkey. It originally lived on the northeastern coast of Brazil, in the states of Piaui, Paraiba, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco, Alagoas and Bahia.

Angolan Talapoin
